Feeling A Bit Boxie

XIAO XIAO DONG
Dong graduated from the prestigious Central Saint Martins earlier this year with a BA in Fashion Print. This showcase presents Dong's Incorporation of printed fabrics within rectangular frames. The Squared off shoulders in the jackets and shirts are equally Interesting as the trousers, which are printed on skirts, ironically.

At The Ball

Beyonce was left in tears as she performed "At Last" for our newly appointed President of the United States, Barack Obama and his Wife Michelle Obama. I, myself, would have honestly broke down in tears while singing that song for such an inspirational person. The entire event was swarming with stars all decked in dapper artier.

Speaking of which; what surprised me was the decision encouraged probably by style advisor to the first lady Ikram Goldman. Michelle wore all non American designers such as Isabel Toledo, whom designed the inaugural day dress, and Jason Wu whom was the sole creator of her inaugural ball gown; nonetheless she looked amazing. If only men's design were easier to point out cuz I would love to know what Obama ended up wearing to his big day.

It feels great to know that the safety of our, at times, wonderful country is once again in the hands of a person who seems to have compassion and an understanding of what needs to be done to get us all back to what we used to be. I can breath in confidence now.

Katie?...

You probably gagged as much as I did trust me. Not that Katie doesnt give me high fashion with her anamalistic eyes and high cheeck bones; it's just that I didnt know she was into fashion or herself like that...hmph! fooled me!
Photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott shot Katie in New York for Miu-Miu's spring 09 campaign sure to his sometime in Feb. Well actually now that I think about it, this isnt Miuccia Prada's first time choosing an A-List celebrety for her campaigns; Kirsten Dunst, Lindsay Lohan, Chloe Sevigny and Drew Barrymore have all graced Miu-Miu's ads.
Oh! I said mistake because these "celebrities" are,in my opinion, taking work right from under the snatched noses of actual working MODLES. I know I would be mad if I walked into a casting to later find out that the campaign or spread was given to an actress. Thats shade!
..::p.s thank goodness Tom wasn't "suprisingly" in the ad as well!

Black Gold

Like Iv'e said before...Deisel is one of my favorite brands has and probably always will be. It's just that their....EVERYTHING is dope. Get into these distressed boots they scream BUY ME!!!

Flats?...

I've always been the kind of dude that has never really condoned flats. It's just not flattering. My Heel-Losophy states that..."If its not 3" or higher its not a heel" or the always funny "I need 3" or more!" (think about it). But there is always room for a change of heart; so with that being said I went on a non intentional hunt for this years should have flats.

Over It...

I don't even want to begin to describe the frustration I'm currently going through. I know that the situation I'm in right now is somewhat my malfeasance (SAT word get into her) but...COME ON!!...how is it that an entire scholastic establishment doesn't have itself together. Considering that BMCC opened in 1964 u would think...or at least hope that they knew what they were doing. Well my loved and most appreciated reader...your wrong! This excuse for a college is far from being considered a reputable or even, in laymen terms, "a well oiled machine". This is the T....

I successfully registered for my freshmen 2008 spring semester with no problem. This semester comes around and I'm all of a sudden not registered with selective services (which just in case you didn't know you need to be in order to vote, which I MOST DEF DID!!!) and I'm considered an illegal alien (don't laugh!). Of course I laughed, brushed and shimmied it off and handled what I had to handle with Selective Services and the Social Security office; but all of a sudden when I came in today to finally register for this semester (I unfortunately made the decision to take the fall semester off) Ms.ChaCha Diva asked for my passport...*pause* I gave her a Grace Jones stare from Boomerang (the movie) and said "Excuse me?..."...a supposed new "protocol" for "students in my situation". In the immortal words of Chris Crocker...BITCH PLEASE

Anywho!...now I'm sitting in this "college's" lurky cafe with lurky staff and lurkier students trying to plan my trajectory through this, now rushed and soon to be exhausting, process. I just know I can't give up.
..::STAY TUNED FOR THE UPDATE::..

Breezy Not You Too!!!

This proves and explains sooo much...all I have to say is I knew it and you don't have to prove a dam thing Breezy

I Am....Obsessed

I completely missed Cadillac Records due to friends not being into another music movie but trust and believe that no snow, sleet, rain, hail nor the occasional earth quake will stop me from seeing this movie.

Lets Not Talk About It...

From my zygote stages of life the mentality that the Holiday Season is the time of year in which one should "go off" was drilled into my cute little cranium. With that being said; from the moment I received the absolute creative liberty to do what I felt like doing for New Years I promised myself that I wouldn't go through a boring or uneventful New Years...*SIGH*...well I am sad to announce that I let myself down for 08's New Year celebrations. I was feeling oh so good when I woke up that morning. I went to work, worked a late ass 3 hour shift, helped my best friend move something into his apt, then went home to get dressed. I came out of my apt. (which was full of family members mind you) looking and feeling like a million bucks with the set mentality that I would be club hopping the whole night...*SIGH*...that sooo was not the case....

Long story short I ended up sitting on a bar stool all night in my best friends apartment waiting to for plans to unveil themselves. Well I learned my lesson that's for sure. Nonetheless i wish everybody enjoyed their entrance into this new glorious year. even though I didn't I know that 09 is going to be such an awesome year not only for me but for everybody that deserves it
