I Know...It's Been A While..

I've neglected you so much...but no more!

It's almost been a year since my last post in which I told my reader's that: "I have no reason not be the greatest me anybody has ever seen." and sadly...I have yet to stick to that. I really don't know what happened to me though. Well a lot has happened actually. Shall I re-cap? Ummm, no I'll pass; there's way to much to tell and frankly don't want to go through all of that emotional mushy shit again.

Nonetheless it is O.K! All those trials and tribulations were worth it. Cuz after all of that I learned that what I was expecting was for everything to, POOOF!, just happen for me. No no silly rabbit tricks are actually for fools. I have to be the one to get up and work for what I know I deserve. Easier said than done...trust me, I know. Ironically enough the Teen Vogue Handbook made me realize that (among a few other things).

So yes...I am finally free from that temporary emotional purgatory and it feels awesome! Of course destiny has many more tribulations lined up for me to concur; I can't be naive and think that life is smooth sailing from here...again I'd be a fool.

BET Launches New Channel

BET is shifting towards a much needed change. They plan on launching a much more refined channel for our veiwing pleasure. Centric is the name of the new channel.

BET C.EO Debra Lee marked the election of President Obama as providing "the perfect time for BET Networks to re-examine where we are as a company and what we can be for our audience".

Centric will mainly be geared toward an older African-American demographic. The new channel, set to launch in 45 million cable homes by this year's end will be built around music and entertainment programming.

Some of the shows set to kick the launching off are: "Keeping Up with the Joneses", following high society in Houston, "Real Life Divas", a bio series on music stars; and "Urban Livin'", an interior design and home makeover series hosted by Helen Bailey. The channel also includes a reality show revolving around Terry Crews from "Everybody Hates Chris" and his family; a talk show hosted by Mo'Nique; "First In", a documentary following the lives of emergency response crews; and a game show; "Pay It Off", which allows contestants a chance to pay off their bills.

The one im looking forward to the most is "Model City, below)" which follows the lives of male models in New York; but not just any male models; more importantly the show will be following around the Red Boys from Red Modeling Management. I'll definitely stay tuned. Will you!?

Lets Not Talk About It...

From my zygote stages of life the mentality that the Holiday Season is the time of year in which one should "go off" was drilled into my cute little cranium. With that being said; from the moment I received the absolute creative liberty to do what I felt like doing for New Years I promised myself that I wouldn't go through a boring or uneventful New Years...*SIGH*...well I am sad to announce that I let myself down for 08's New Year celebrations. I was feeling oh so good when I woke up that morning. I went to work, worked a late ass 3 hour shift, helped my best friend move something into his apt, then went home to get dressed. I came out of my apt. (which was full of family members mind you) looking and feeling like a million bucks with the set mentality that I would be club hopping the whole night...*SIGH*...that sooo was not the case....

Long story short I ended up sitting on a bar stool all night in my best friends apartment waiting to for plans to unveil themselves. Well I learned my lesson that's for sure. Nonetheless i wish everybody enjoyed their entrance into this new glorious year. even though I didn't I know that 09 is going to be such an awesome year not only for me but for everybody that deserves it

It saddens me to realize that this horribly disturbing mentality is etched in the minds of these individuals. Watching this video did, however, open my eyes to the dark truth that ignorance is running rapid now-a-days. The host said it all" The nature of this campaign has brought out into the open what is usually discussed behind closed doors in America". What got me laughing a little was the old lady saying that " he {Obama} thinks us white people are trash". I'd love to hear when our soon to be president Obama said that all white people are trash. PRETTY IN LATEX

EVEN THOUGH THIS SUMMER DIDN'T EXACTLY EXCITE ME HOW I WANTED IT TO SOMETHING HAPPENED TO ADD THAT MISSING HAPPINESS AND FEEL OF SUMMER THAT I'M USED TO. AND THAT WONDROUS THING WAS THE ANNUAL GMHC HOSTED LATEX BALL. USUALLY I'M NOT THE BALL ATTENDEE KIND OF DUDE BUT THE LATEX BALL IS DIFFERENT; IT BRINGS SOOOO MANY DIFFERENT KINDS OF PEOPLE TOGETHER. EVEN INDIVIDUALS FROM DIFFERENT COUNTRIES AND STATES. THEY ALL COME TOGETHER TO SHOWCASE THEIR TALENTS. MAINLY VOGUING THOUGH.

THIS IS MY SECOND YEAR ATTENDING THIS EVENT. AND HONESTLY ITS NOT ALL ITS CRACKED UP TO BE. DON'T GET ME WRONG NOW; THE LATEX BALL THIS YEAR WAS FUN (WERE NOT GONA TALK ABOUT 2007'S BALL); THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY NIGHT WOULD OF BEEN LEYOMI MIZARAHI PERFORMING AND JONTE DANCING...THAT WOULD OF MADE MY NIGHT. UNFORTUNATELY THOUGH NEITHER LEYOMI OR JONTE PERFORMED. THERE WAS SOME PRETTY GOOD ENTERTAINMENT THROUGH OUT THE NIGHT THOUGH. THE RUNWAY BATTLE & THE VOGUE FEM PERFORMANCE EXCITED ME TONS, THOSE WHERE MY ONLY HIGHLIGHTS, TALENT WISE.

ALEX JOURDON-ZION WAS MY FAVORITE OF THE NIGHT. IVE SEEN HIM VOGUE BEFORE AT REHEARSALS AND I KNEW HE WAS GOOD BUT HE PROVED ME RIGHT AT THE BALL. HES FEM, DAINTY, CREATIVE, HAS STRETCH OUT THE NU-NA, AND UNDERSTANDS HOW TO ENTERTAIN A CROWD. THATS WHAT I LOOK FOR IN A GOOD VOGUE FEM PERFORMER. THE GAGGER WAS THAT WAS ONLY HIS SECOND TIME PERFORMING AT A BALL. MY OPINION IS HE SHOULD OF WON THE BATTLE VS. THE LEGENDARY MALACHI. BUT HEY ITS BALL ROOM POLITICS.

THE EVENT WAS FULL OF ATTRACTIVE PEOPLE, INTERESTING OUTFITS, A LOT OF CURSING, CONTAGIOUS CHANTING, AND LOADS OF LAUGHTER. BEST PART OF THE NIGHT WHERE THE CELEBRITIES FORTUNATELY. TEYANA TAYLOR, D-WOODS FROM DANITY KANE, AND ABOUT 5 OF AMERICAS NEXT TOP MODEL CONTESTANTS WHERE IN ATTENDANCE STRUTTING THEIR STUFF. TEYANA AND D-WOODS VOGUED FOR THE "GURLS" AND THE MODELS DID WHAT THEIR TRAINED TO DO...WALK! ME AND MY FRIENDS WHERE ONLY CONCERN ABOUT 2 IN PARTICULAR THOUGH. WE ENDED UP HAVING OUR VERY OWN PERSONAL PHOTO SHOOT WITH BOTH OF THEM; DANIELLA POLANCO AND JONTE. IT WAS AWSOME! THEIR BOTH ULTRA NICE. BUT NO SHADE I WAS THERE FOR JONTE! WE PERFORMED ROOM SERVICE FOR HIM AND HE LIVED (I THINK!...I HOPE!) AND HE FINALLY INVITED US ALL TO HIS DANCE CLASS AT PEARLS STUDIOS...ILL SOO BE THERE IN DANCE COUTURE! ANYWAY...THIS WAS A CUTE END TO INTERESTING SUMMER LOOKING FORWARD TO FALL AND EVERYTHING SHE BRINGS

CONFUSINGLY CONFUSED

If there is anything you learn about me is that I'm a confusing and confused individual at the same time (among other things). There is rarely a time in my life in which I can say I know exactly what I want; except when it comes to my future; I know precisely what I want from that. Relationships are the focal point of this post due to them confusing the hell out of me. I'll focus on my recent situation.

It's been 8 months & about 2 weeks now, and Ive done almost everything a person In Love does for and with this person. Ive even traveled out the state for a week, and that, to me, is a big step in a relationship. This person has pretty much EVERYTHING Ive ever asked for in a partner. U'd think I'd be content. Ive learned through time and experiences that nobody is ever 100% happy. I wanted/want the educated, goal orientated, crazy ill swag having, mind & back blowing sex giving, fashion forward, excitement driven, cute face & body having, wit spitting, sarcastic, sense of humor having individual. I had found 95% of what I like to call "The Ozzy Cocktail". So the question naturally comes about..."Why aren't you jumping and howling like the bangees?" "cuz!, honestly...I'm Ozzy".

It was past awsome for about 8 months. But 2 weeks can fuck a dudes mind up...well not any dude...just me. I slowly started finding myself loosing interest (not love) and growing interest for another. Now I'm not the type to cheat on somebody that's treated me like the King that I am for so long (unless theres reason to). So I started to distance myself physically but my emotions where 2 steps ahead. I felt horrible...truthfully did; & whats even worse is I couldn't pin-point why I was feeling that way.

We didn't speak for 3 days and I finally get a call. We spoke about almost everything...how I was feeling, how he was feeling, how we should be feeling and tons more. During our almost hour long convo I realized I needed to depart from a relationship that was getting sour before it got completely bitter. Ultimately we decided to give me some space and time to make my mind up and become 100% sure that I was going to haul through our highly anticipated long-term relationship. I was fine with that decision cuz honestly that's what I needed and wanted. But about 4 days later I get call telling me its not working; My "nonchalantness" kicked in like the "itis" after a huge meal on a hot summer Sunday. I basically hung up with a classic "Are you done yet?..." and that was the end of that; bitterness in my mouth and everything. Do i regret it? hell yeah! I do. Cuz this individual didn't deserve that.

In conclusion, I'm stuck, indecisive, confused, slightly livid, sad and strangely relieved all at the same time. I'm going through an emotional roller coaster that's gona leave me in some serious distraught. So there u have it in a 4 paragraph nutshell the collapse of an "empire" the O&D Empire.

END OF THE TEEN-AGE YEARS CRISIS

I DON'T KNOW IF THIS EXISTS BUT IF IT DOSE I'M GOING THROUGH IT. END OF THE TEEN-AGE YEARS CRISIS. I CLASSIFY IT AS THE TIME PERIOD RITE BEFORE U HIT UR 20'S AND U FEEL AS IF THERE IS NO WHERE ELSE TO GO WITH UR SELF. HATE TO ADMIT IT BUT THAT'S WHERE I'M AT.

I THOUGHT THIS SUMMER WAS GONA BE AWSOME, TRULY DID, BUT IT WAS AAAIGHT!, TO SAY THE LEAST. THE EVENTS I HAD PLANNED OUT DIDN'T GO AS PLANNED, I WAS BROKE HALF THE SUMMER (EMBARRASSING), AND ALMOST EVERY NIGHT WAS FOLLOWED BY ARGUMENTS OR DISAPPOINTMENT. MAYBE THIS IS T.M.I BUT HEY GOTA VENT SOMEWHERE. ANYWAY...I'M AT A PHASE IN WHICH I FEEL LIKE "AINT SHIT GOING RITE".

THE JOB IVE BEEN INTERVIEWING FOR SINCE JUNE, Juicy Couture, IS STILL INTERVIEWING PEOPLE...WE DON'T TALK ABOUT IT. I'M STUBBORN OF COURSE CONSIDERING I KNOW I HAVE THE JOB I HAVEN'T GONE OUT TO DO WHAT I WANTED TO DO THIS SUMMER WHICH WAS INTERN AT A PROMINENT FASHION MAGAZINE. IVE BEEN DANCING BUT NOT AS MUCH AS I WANTED TO. I WAS HOPPING ON TAKING BEG. BALLET OR MODERN CLASSES BUT THAT DIDN'T WORK. AND NOW THE U.S GOVERNMENT DOESN'T BELIEVE THAT I'M A CITIZEN (LONG STORY). DUE THIS "MISUNDERSTANDING" I'M RUNNING AROUND THE CITY FILLING APPLICATIONS AND SENDING IN FORMS LEFT AND RIGHT JUST SO I CAN REGISTER FOR SOME SECOND RATE, WANA BE COLLEGE; KNOWING I BELONG IN FIT ABOUT TO STUDY ABROAD.

ONE OF THE BEST THINGS THAT HAPPENED TO ME THIS SUMMER IS READING THE SECRET. APART FROM THAT I HAD THE OCCASIONAL CUTE DATE, FUN CONCERT, FUN CLUB OUTING. BUT IT JUST HASN'T BEEN WHAT I EXPECTED IT TO BE CAUSING ME TO PLUNGE INTO MY "END OF THE TEEN-AGE YEARS CRISIS"
